Boardgame Round-up

Twilight Creations make up the bulk of this weeks new board game releases along with a clever deduction game set in a mental asylum. Midevil Deluxe is an extension of the popular Zombies game and contains everything from MidEvil, MidEvil2 and MidEvil3. After you have escaped from the hordes of zombies you're sent back in time to face a new terrible challenge, skeletons! New artwork and over 100 heavily armed skeletons help bring this tongue in cheek creation from Twilight Creations alive. Bag o Skeletons adds an additional 100 skeletons that can be used with your MidEvil games.

Martians!!!, another Twilight Creations game, this time your slap bang in the middle of an alien invasion. Armed only with your knowledge of sci-fi movies its up to you to save mankind. 100 plastic skeletons are included in the game for the players to evade and kill while they search for the items needed to destroy the alien mother ship.

Looney Bin is a card based deduction game where players are trying to be the first to heal the patients in there ward. Will you be able to cure Fanatical Frank with a frontal lobotomy, or will Delirious Darlene require group therapy and a dose of electroshock?

RPG Round-up

Heading up the new RPG releases for this week are three offerings from Wizards of the Coast for Dungeons & Dragons 4th edition. Divine Power contains new archetypical builds for the cleric, paladin, invoker and avenger classes as well as rules for divine domains. The Eberron Campaign Guide contains everything DMs need to run in this magical film noir setting and Seekers of the Ashen Crown is a 2nd-5th level standalone adventure, nominally set in Eberron (but easily used in other settings). Another WotC offering this week is the Rebellion Era Guide - a Star Wars sourcebook which covers the original Star Wars trilogy.

Continuing on the Dungeons & Dragons front, there are a number of support materials available, including Counter Collection 4e: Epic 1, Counter Collection 4e: Paragon 1 and Creature Collection (for Scarred Lands). Mongoose Publishing has released The Quintessential Rogue, offering new origins, many additional powers and paragon paths and finally there's also a set of stone-finished Dungeon Tiles to help plot out your dungeon in a more tactile way. For those following Pathfinder, Paizo has put out Adventure Path 23 "Impossible Eye", continuing their popular series.

For other roleplaying games Mongoose has released the Central Supply Catalogue for Traveller that offers "A complete guide to arms and equipment in the Traveller Roleplaying Game", also for Spycraft - Shadow Play, a compendium of some of the very best Spycraft articles. Enjoy Westerns? KenzerCo give you Fool's Gold (so to speak), an adventure for their Origins award winning Wild West roleplaying game, Aces & Eights. New in from Palladium is The Nightbane Survival Guide which covers survival in a world of conspiracy, dark forces and monstrous invaders in the Nightbane setting.

Hard Helix is a set of four adventures written by Robin D. Laws for the well received Mutant City Blues RPG, while Scroll of Heroes is an Exalted supplement covering Mortal characters in the Age of Sorrows. Add in a dash of pulpish Cthulhu action with Goodman Games' Age of Cthulhu 2: Madness in London Town, an actual Tarot Deck for use with Mage: The Awakening and the latest issue of Crusader magazine for Castles & Crusades and that's a hefty round of releases for the week!
